Empowering a Movement: A Brighter Look for Advocacy

Unchained Movement, a Nashville-based non-profit, is dedicated to combating domestic sex trafficking through awareness events, educational programs, and a residential program for victim recovery. I worked on refreshing the organization’s visual identity to better reflect hopefulness and approachability.

The Challenge

Unchained Movement’s original branding featured dark orange and black tones with a grunge aesthetic, which conveyed a serious tone but lacked hopefulness. The organization wanted a refreshed look that still conveyed their mission but felt brighter, more modern, and optimistic.

The Solution

I worked with a team to update the color palette to include a lighter, brighter orange paired with medium gray, creating a more approachable and uplifting aesthetic. The new design emphasized white space and clean lines for a modern and hopeful look. Using these guidelines, we reimagined promotional materials, digital collateral, and print assets while retaining the existing logo for consistency.
