Shining a Light on a Children's Advocate
Family Advocates is a nonprofit based in La Porte County, Indiana, dedicated to supporting at-risk children and families through advocacy, supervised visitation, youth mentoring, and volunteer-driven programs. The project focused on creating visuals and messaging that highlighted the positive transformations Family Advocates enables.

The Challenge
Family Advocates wanted to increase community awareness of their services and foster greater understanding of their impact. The challenge was to design a campaign that focused on the positive transformations children experience, without emphasizing the trauma they’ve endured. The campaign needed to inspire hope, demonstrate resilience, and show the brighter future Family Advocates helps create for children.
The Solution
Working together with the team at Big Idea Company, I developed an outdoor advertising campaign for Family Advocates featuring diverse children and the message, “Helping CHILDREN Rise Above Trauma,” highlighting the positive transformation made possible through their services. This hopeful theme was extended to social media ads, including static and video formats, ensuring a consistent and uplifting narrative across platforms to engage the community.
